Stability testing
At Eurofins vitamin testing we offer stability testing on vitamins and amino acids. We have climate chambers following the ICH guidelines. We offer both the traditional conditions of 25C/65%RH, the accelerated conditions of 40C/75%RH, and various other conditions according to customer requests.
The stability of vitamins and amino acids are dependent on a variety of conditions such as temperature, humidity, light and time. How long does it take before the vitamins and amino acids degrade in your product?
What we offer
We can store a wide variety of samples, ranging from soft drinks to cereals, to vitamin supplements and store them up to 3+ years. Once tested, we store the samples in the freezer for up to a year, which allows the option to go back and retest at a later time.
Individual from sample to sample
The loss of activity depends not only on the surrounding conditions, but also on what the sample contains. As an example the vitamins in samples with high mineral content degrade faster than similar samples without minerals.
Good advice
For the best results, give as much information about the sample in advance, make the study in double (or more) determinations and note the test codes from previous samples.
